The method

Map capability task by task

Similar-looking tasks can lie on different sides of a capability boundary.

When to use it

  • Choosing models or designing human–AI collaboration.

Ask yourself

  • One task worked. Can we trust similar tasks too?

Put it into action

  • Collect successes and failures by task, recording model versions and conditions. Keep human checks and fallback processes where capability is untested.

Keep these limits in mind

  • Early studies have specific models, samples, and tasks; their percentage gains are not guarantees for your organization.
